Cannibal Politics

An urban dystopic fantasy about three stoner bookworms trying to save their friend.

Synopsis

The inter-dimensional transportation company, Prometheus, employs over 30 percent of the people living in Everett, WA at their waydoor assembly facility. And for the last seven years, everyone has known that the Eidolwood imported from the underworld can turn the people building these teleporters into zombies. Since then, the US government has worked diligently to combat the spreading blight in every way except for shutting down the assembly facility, providing adequate health care for the victims or protecting the workers and citizens of Everett from getting sick.

But the US government did allow their underworld trade partners to build a giant underground detention center and they did pass a law revoking the citizenship of anyone infected allowing the Blightwood wardens in charge to do whatever they want with the zombies.

Charlie, a survivor of the zombie incident, is a sixteen-year-old deadbeat and recovering alcoholic. Seven years ago, she watched a bunch of her mom's co-workers lose their shit and try to eat all the other attendees at a Prometheus company picnic. As if mandatory work events weren't bad enough. Now, she just wants to smoke weed, read her trashy novels, and avoid doing her homework. Unfortunately, it's looking like Prometheus may be planning something even more sinister for the coastal Washington city.

Can Charlie and her friends put a stop to it?

Probably not.

Can they save their friend Stacey from becoming a casualty of Prometheus’ machinations and maybe get a little high in the meantime?

Perhaps.
